Thanks for dropping by. My name is Norm and Iv'e been fixing copiers since 1982. I have specialized in Canons since 1985. The information available on this site is written by me and geared for copier technicians who need answers and are stuck without manuals. What I offer is basic information on all of the error messages, vital service procedures such as entering the service menu, plus decades of factory trained field experience passed on in helpful tips that you will never find in any manuals. Here's something to keep in mind: A large amount of problems I see can be tracked back to something an earlier technician has screwed up. We have all been there. Try to find out what was done last before the problem started. Look for an unplugged sensor or connector, pinched wire or the remains of a melted screwdriver along with a black mark, or pieces of your manager's necktie in the multi-feeder. Please, I urge you to not try this if you have never worked on a copy machine before! Call a professional! Tell him or her about this site if they get stuck. That being said, if you know your way around your copier then you came to the right place!
